Welcome to Sennsational Memories! We create traditional quilts, tee shirt quilts, memory bears and pillows all made from repurposed clothing. My name is Sarah Senn and I am located in Central, South Carolina but have created quilts for those as far away as Ohio and North Carolina.
I began Sennsational Memories after making my oldest son a quilt from all the jerseys and tee shirts he and I had saved from birth. I realized afterwards that it was a great way to re-purpose those favorite tees we no longer wear, but don't want to get rid of yet. Then COVID happened . . . I wanted to provide comfort to those who had lost loved ones, so I added pillows and memory bears to my list of products.
I'm here to serve those that want to clean out a drawer or have something to hold that reminds them of a departed loved one.
Memory Bears, Pillows and Quilts
Memory Bears are made from button up shirts - $50
Pillows are also made from button up shirts - 20 in. $40; 14 in. $35; 12" $30
Quilts are a more detailed process . . . I have to prep the shirts by cutting them apart and starching them. I starch them to make them stiff so that I can make a square cut. Once I have decided where each shirt will go in the quilt, I cut them. I charge $10/hr from that point on and I ask for reimbursement of thread, cloth for the backing, and the batting that goes in the middle. This pricing also includes a more traditional quilt made from button up shirts of a loved one.
